Online rate for Euro was 1.17 went to Paisley shop expecting something similar, sign outside said rate was 1.15.

Thought I'm here anyway, changed sterling for 500 Euro. Got to car looked at paperwork to find they'd given me a rate of 1.14, less than their advertised rate at shop entrance.

Won't be using them again.

My card was stolen from me in Bordeaux a few days ago. I was targeted by two young women who distracted me by asking for directions on the tram. I had just bought a tram ticket using the Ramsden’s card, and had not yet put it (in a small purse) away in my main money belt.

I realised the card (and purse) had gone, and phoned the helpline within about 20 minutes. While I was on the phone, I could see transactions being made using the card (it was linked to the Ramsden’s App) and told the operator this. I was told they would block the card and that I would get my money back. I called again the next day (as I had had no contact at all from Ramsdens or Mastercard, of whom they seem to be a subsidiary) and the operator took more details and told me what transactions had been attempted. These amounted to about 500 euros, and consisted of identical pairs of transactions (as if 2 people were using the card in turn), all on the day of the theft.

Mastercard contacted me a few days later to say that they would not be reimbursing my card, as the thieves had used the correct PIN. I am at a loss to know how they got hold of it. It was not written down and was known only to me. I can only assume that someone was covertly watching the tram ticket terminal with a practised eye, despite me taking the usual precautions to shield my PIN.

Multi-Currency cards are advertised as a secure and convenient way to carry money around while travelling, but I feel badly let down in this instance.

Contactless declined a few times said it had reached the limit which was wrong

Took advantage of an older gentleman and gave a lower currency rate than they listed. Shocking would not recomend.

I applied for my card, online, on 2 Jan 2024. To date, 29 Feb 2024, I still haven’t received it. I have have had no responses from numerous emails, and nor can I withdraw the money that was uploaded to start the application.

Suffice to say I won’t be recommending to anyone anytime soon.

Ordered on line got a great rate .sent a email to me within 1 day for me to collect. Went in to ramsden hull branch all ready no extra fee to pay.a chatty friendly lady.with a smile .always used ramsden for my foreign currency and will the future always give me a good rate.

Went to exchange £415 euros fo gbp , only offered £302 , they said i didnt pay £5 for guaranteed full cash back , nobody mentioned that to me and they never ever have at anytime, i dont usually have any euros to exchange , first time exchanging , i have just kept my euros .

Looked online for Ramsden Euro rate . Said 1.439. Visited shop in Paisley was only about 1.11. No rate in shop even close to quoted rate on line even if you changed over£1000. Thank goodness I can use ATM abroad for free and get bank rate. Just needed some starter cash. Won't be back.

I lost money because of incompetent people who works in this company. Just be very careful with them. I tried to get my money back for last 3 months and only answer what I heard from them is that they can't do anything. My card was declined in one of restaurant two times, I reported that immediately by phone. During conversation with lady on the phone I heard that she see that two transactions was declined and I will get my money back during two weeks. It was in October and I still don't have money. I tried speaking with them but that company just doesn't want to take responsibility for that situation. Please be very careful with that card or use different ones if you don't want to lose your money.

Called to Chester Road Sunderland a lady called Sandra was very helpful changed my holiday money no problems very chatty and helpful will be back again soon

Bought £225 euros for £204:11 less than expected but told not the same as online which i accepted and paid by mastercard. Today checked account and found i was charged £6 fee. Was told in dundee branch there was no fee involved. Does anyone know why i was charged cash fee did not happen in april?

went into the shop in cumbernauld today,rate in window was 1.18,bought $1000 got home to find paper work stated $1.16,feel cheated will never use Ramsdens again,buyer beware

We always get good rates from Ramsdens and all the staff are very nice and friendly.

Wouldn't honour the rate in partick (Glasgow).Much lower rate in the shop.

Really bad rate and wasn't told the rate won't be going back
